This is my story,
I am a recovering meth addict living in Minnesota,
I never dreamed I'd be addicted to anything as I am a mother.
My addiction began at age 33, I was doing home care for five patients
and one of them was an addict.
I had only been sleeping 2-3 hours a day because of my
work load and one day i showed up at this patients home completely exhausted
and I was offered meth I usually declined,
but that day I said yes and that was it for me.
I began a downward spiral that almost cost me my nursing job
at a good paying hospital, it almost cost me my children,
I could no longer function,I did not want to be a statistic
or someone who harmed anyone because I was under the influence of drugs,
I checked into detox and did 2 separate inpatient stays at Hazelden,
they saved my life. I am now able to deal with life on life's terms,
not everyday is perfect as I now try to help my children with their troubles
but I beg of you that if you are offered a chemical say no, no matter what.
IT IS NOT WORTH IT...
too many people get hurt by chemical use and the actions
of those under the influence. please support buzznot.com .
I AM SOBER AND PROUD!!!!
